The Q3 2026 edition · updated 2026-07-29
What factoring
actually costs.
An independent index of 34 invoice and freight factoring companies. We publish advertised rates against what operators report paying — and we publish the gaps in our data rather than filling them with guesses.
Speak with an advisor. Checking options does not affect your credit. We may earn a commission on a funded referral — see the rate card.

Open →Why this index exists
Search any factoring question and page one is almost entirely people selling factoring. Companies explaining their own product. Load boards that also sell factoring. Media sites running a paid featured partner in the top slot. On recourse vs non-recourse, six of the top seven results are factoring companies describing the option they happen to offer.
None of that is dishonest. It does mean there is no source in this category whose only job is to be right about what things cost.
- We publish our commission rates — including for companies we rank last.
- We publish gaps, not estimates. A blank cell means no primary source yet.
- We track advertised against actual. The gap is the interesting number.
- We date everything and leave corrections visible.
The index
Advertised rate against reported rate, for every company we track. This is the first edition on this domain — most cells are still blank, and we would rather show you that than invent numbers.

24 of 34 companies publish at least one verifiable term. Everything shown was read from the company's own pages on 2026-07-29 — hover a Sourced tag for the exact page. “Publishes nothing” means exactly that: the company puts no rate, advance, recourse or contract term in writing publicly. In this market that is the norm rather than the exception, and it is the reason a comparison table cannot pick your factor on its own. How collection works →
